The Wayside Cheer Hotel is one of only a handful of Guernsey hotels near the beach with the closest just a stones throw away. Plenty of parking for our guests including special reserved handicapped parking The hotel has a heated outdoor swimming pool *May-Sept situated in the lovely gardens. As well as our Restaurant where residents can enjoy Breakfast & Evening Meals, Bar meals are served daily, Lunch and Dinner in the old world Tudor Style lounge bar, on sunny days Non Residents can also enjoy a Dip n Dine but only for Lunch as the pool area is for resident use only after 3pm There is also a games room with a variety of bar games. Other amenities include a spacious and cosy TV lounge for residents only. All bedrooms recently refurbished and are en-suite with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Ground floor rooms are also available. The atmospheric cabaret room boasts one of the finest dance floors on the island and at least 3 nights a week, entertainment is available throughout the year. Directions
Arrival by air:- Turn right out of the airport and follow the main road until you reach the West coast at L'Eree, a distance of approximately 3 miles. Turn right & follow the coast road for 5 miles, until you reach Grandes Rocques. The hotel visible from the main coast road, but you need to just pass it and turn right by the Cobo Butchers shop, the hotel is 50yds up that road on the right. Arrival by sea:Upon departure from the harbour terminal, you will soon reach a major roundabout. Take the 2nd exit up the hill. Continue on this main road until you reach a major junction at the top of the hill. After the traffic lights, there is a "filter in turn" which you need to bear right at. Continue on the road - after the third set of traffic lights, you will go up a 100m stretch of dual carriageway - turn right at the end of this then left at the yellow line.This will take you to the coast road.Turn right at the filter in turn on the coast road, follow the coast road for 3/4 of a miles, until you reach Grandes Rocques. The hotel visible from the main coast road, but you need to just pass it and turn right by the Cobo Butchers shop, the hotel is 50yds up that road on the right.
