Self-Accredited Small HotelAt the Spread Eagle, Scotland's oldest continually licensed hotel, we're proud to serve you. With parts of the building dating from the time of Mary Queen of Scots, we offer spacious en-suite bedrooms, a cosy lounge with wood-burning stove, and a sun-trap beer garden to the rear of the building. We welcome families, and have two cots as well as a children's menu. Children under 5 stay free. Golf is available on 23 local courses as part of the Freedom of the Fairways scheme, and there is also excellent walking, cycling, fishing, horse-riding and other country pursuits in the wonderful scenery of the Borders. Whether you join us for dinner or spend the night in one of our newly renovated rooms complete with ensuite, flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, you're always welcome. *The hotel is completely non-smoking.
Directions
The Spread Eagle Hotel is a cream-coloured building in the middle of the High Street in Jedburgh. The town is bypassed by the A68 which runs from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the south to the Edinburgh city bypass in the north. Turn off the A68 onto Exchange Street (the second junction leading into the town centre from either direction). Turn right at the junction with High Street, and you will find the hotel about 25 yards down the road on your left.
